Kern Library

DSC_8255Our building houses a complete Media Center that enables our students to do research on an advanced level in both secular and Jewish studies. The library media center has an extensive collection of DVDs, audio-visual materials, and internet-accessible computers, including laptops, that are available in our library, our classrooms, and computer lab. Research skills workshops are conducted by our library media specialist, in conjunction with our faculty, to teach our students the skills necessary to take full advantage of our excellent facility. Assistance is also available on a one-on-one basis, to support students and faculty, to ensure that both print and digital resources are being used appropriately and to their full potential. Students have full access to the Yeshiva University collection via interlibrary loan. In addition, our library subscribes to Bar Ilan, Proquest SIRS Knowledge Source, as well as a variety of EBSCO and Thomas Gale databases, which are accessible to all our students at home or at school. The use of technology is fully integrated throughout the curriculum in both General and Judaic studies. Distance learning via our video-conferencing system allows our students to learn from a range of guest speakers and other students from around the world.
