Our Parent Council

Central to Our Students

At Central, a strong partnership between home and school is essential to our students’ growth. Our Parent Council plays a vital role in strengthening this connection, bringing warmth, energy, and creativity to the life of our school. Through meaningful involvement and behind-the-scenes support, our parent volunteers help nurture the vibrant, welcoming community that defines the Central experience.

The Parent Council serves across several key areas. The Admissions and Calling Committee offers new families a heartfelt welcome through personal phone calls, supports our Open House events in the fall, and follows up with prospective parents during the admissions season. In the spring, they continue this outreach by participating in recruitment efforts and supporting our annual scholarship campaign.

A Team of Volunteers

The Events Committee brings joy and celebration to our school community. Whether hosting festive gatherings for Sukkot, Chanukah, or Purim, planning our Freshman Family Panoply night, or volunteering at beloved traditions like the Challah Bake and Grandparents Day, these parents help create lasting memories for students and families alike. The committee also partners with YUHS parents at the fall Melava Malka, fostering connection across the broader Yeshiva University community.

The Teacher Appreciation Committee ensures our faculty feel supported and valued throughout the year. From thoughtful Rosh Hashanah gifts and Chanukah “gelt,” to Mishloach Manot and the spring Teacher Appreciation Week, this committee’s efforts express the deep gratitude our parent body holds for the educators who inspire and guide our daughters each day.

We are grateful for the dedication and generosity of our Parent Council members. Their contributions strengthen our school culture and demonstrate the power of community in shaping the Central journey.
