The application must be submitted no later than December 8, 2017.
Merit Based Scholarships
YUHSG awards merit-based scholarships in varying amounts to its most distinguished applicants. Applicants wishing to be considered for the scholarship must submit a Distinguished Scholars application, which includes three recommendations and an essay. The application must be submitted no later than December 8, 2017. Decisions will be made by a committee comprised of faculty and administrators. These scholarships will continue as long as the student maintains the high level of academic achievement and exemplary character expected of a Distinguished Scholars award recipient. Receipt of the award will be mailed together with the applicant’s acceptance letter.
Distinguished Scholars Criteria:
- 7th and 8th grade academic averages above the 90th percentile in Judaic and General Studies
- Excellence on national standardized achievement exams
- Excellence on the BJE exams.
- Excellence in middot and citizenship
